Has to be the canary islands.. best bet probably tenerife as that will be the liveliest and the weather is usually pretty decent that time of year..

right.. had a quick look on the thomson website.. flying from Luton on 26 october at 20.35 to tenerife, for £144, there is a 2* allocation on arrival, or for another £20, 3* allocation on arrival. Las Piramedes in PDLA is available for £210 or Atlantida in Los C is there for £230. All are SC.

I have only stayed in Atlantida out of that lot and it is a pretty decent place near to all bars and restaurants...

You should be able to find something in your price range as long as you're not too fussy. Bearing in mind those are the school half term dates for most of the country so most destinations will be more expensive than the week before or the following week. However with some research I'm sure you'll find somewhere to suit.
