Hi, just wondering if anybody can help to choose a hotel. We want AI with good entertainment, 10 day beach holiday and 4 day safari, for couple in early twenties.
Thanks
We've just booked for next year (2007).
Have a look at http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk. There are a few hotels and they seem to be cheaper than a lot of other brochures.
Cant really advise on any particular hotel as we've never been before but I'm sure you'll find something you'll like.
I'm still writing a review of Kaskazi Hotel Diani Beach South Mombasa. We enjoyed a wonderful Kenya Holiday. Safari booked localy Tsavo East & West 3 days was fantastic saw far more animals than expected.
Hotel has no real beach not easy to swim in sea, but there is a fine pool. Entertainment was quite good, far better than many AI hotels . Many regular English & German guests. See pics

If you dont mind me asking who did you book your safari with and how much did it cost.
We will be doing the same safari when we go and as much info as you can give would be very helpful.
Thanks
Jonathan
My photo albums and "brochures" are on loan to a local school so I can't give prices. We booked Gibran Safaris at The Barclay Centre DIANI Beach. They have a web site but are very slow on emails. Our holiday was with Thomson (bought at Thomas Cook) and Gibran Safari was £100 cheaper than Thomson, we lunched at Voi Lodge on the 1st day stayed at an Eco (TENT) Camp 1st night and Kilaguni which is 5* 2nd night. We stayed in a suite at Kilaguni per internet dearer than 3 day safari! Have a look at my pics on photo bucket therse are a few from 300+. If you want more info contact me direct. I can supply a DVD of the digital pics, but am working very slowly on the camcorder tapes. The TSAVO EAST & West is a great 1st safari that includes 37 Km of "worst main road in world" from Mombasa. We loved it so much we have booked for next March and will use Gibran again. Costs for safaris vary with Fuel prices.
Have read lots of comments but due to choice of holiday feel the need for more info as this is not our usual style of holiday, must be getting adventurous in our old age.
Can't help with hotel but can recommend DM Tours for a safari. They are a German couple who live in Kenya and run a Tour Company. Our driver, Peter, was excellent and the four of us had a jeep/van to ourselves. We took the two day Tsavo East trip and stayed one night at the Voi Safari Lodge - amazing views!! http://www.dmtours.com You will need to click on the Union Jack unless your German is up to scratch. We booked via the internest before we left.
thanks
i have thanks just wanted more info on the beach etc at Turtle Bay Beach
Just returned from two weeks in the Voyager hotel and a weeks safari. i can recommend the voyager as we have just had the best holiday ever, the entertainment was excellent and the food was just great all day every day. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were spot on. i booked with eclispe holidys, (first Choice) and the plains now are vert comfortable. we are planning xmas out there next year so it has to be good.
The beach at Turtle bay is beautiful. perfect for long walks..the good thing is that it not nearly as crowded as the North Coast of Mombasa.
