Another Sunday afternoon!
Sixty six days and seventeen hours until we leave home for LGW and our flight with FCA to Goa.
We've got the Visas', I've had my booster jabs' and my wife is going for hers on Thursday. We've bought the tissues, wet wipes, wine gums (for the flight) and will purchase the anti malarial drugs in November. I've been reading the past threads back to page 26. And taken notes about the rooms to ask for, the beach shacks to visit etc.
Now with the new season about to start, I will read with interest any current reports regarding south Goa, Colva, the Oceanic Hotel, Margoa, recommendations and warnings.
However, I do have one particular request that I hope someone will be able to help with before we go out in December.
A few years ago I bought my wife an Enny handbag in soft black leather that she adores. She would love one in the same style finished in light tan. But since buying it, the company has ceased trading. Although the designer is working for another Italian house, I cannot find a handbag like the one I bought. I've looked at various sites and only found second user bags of dubious condition for double the original price.
Is there any shops able to copy and make quality handbags? (not worried about the makers marks, just the design and quality of workmanship).

He's on the main road, not far off the Dona Alcina, on the same side of the road. Hope you get sorted out!
Hi ! The shop is "Original Fakes" and is opposite Annapurna Bar and the Elephant shop near Highland Beach. They will copy for you, also do a very good selection of leather goods already made, they have a good selection of leather samples to chose from, also do watch copies etc, I bought a "Rolex" for about £15 two yeards ago, hasn't missed a beat worn constantly everyday!
Well done - Johnny G! I felt "Genuine Fakes" wasn't right when I typed it and asked she who must be obeyed what it was called and she said "Genuine Fakes." Guess we're both getting a bit senile.
Sorry Roma, wasn't being picky anyway what is a "yeard" as I typed, perhaps a long year! Ha! Anyway a good place for cheap stuff, I think last year there was another shop down the road where Inferno etc are belonging to the same family? They tend to run from one to the other with supplies.
Thanks for the information. I hope I can find the shop.
Sorry, but a couple more questions.
How long is it likely to take to get to Candolim from Colva?
Would you suggest visiting the shop daytime or evening and is a taxi driver from the south likely to know the area or Annapurna Bar?

If you are staying in the south (and I think you are!) then I wouldn't bother travelling up to Candolim for a fake handbag, especially since you would probably have to order it. I'm sure there are places in the south with the same service. I would ask around for reccommendations once you arrive. You'll usually find anyone visiting Goa more than keen to pass on their tips and places to go. It's not far on the map but the roads mean trips take longer; having said that I'm sure you would enjoy a night up north and you could even plan an overnighter!
Thank you for the comments ladies.
I've no doubt there will be many more questions before we go.

"Yes, we are going to the south 'Oceanique in Colva' "

I knew there would be more questions !
I'm sure this subject has been covered before, but cannot remember where.
Perfume
I know some online stores are cheaper than duty free, but it is one of our holiday traditions, to buy some perfume or after-shave during our holiday.
So is it better to buy at UK duty free or in Goa (if so where)?
