As all the forums are relatively quiet at the moment I just wondered who's going where for New Years Eve. A group of 10 of us are going to rent some flats in the seaside resort of Tenby West Wales , where New Years is a spectacular night. WE've had a bargain at £160 a couple for the week.

Me too probably...although i hope to be on an early..

We are not going away for xmas as was our original intention. We are in Egypt from 11th to 18th December so we are at home for Chrimble this year..

well im flying out to egypt on the 28th dec for 2 weeks like we did last year,holidays are coming,only 77 more days to go :rofl

Hi,

Im going to tenerife for new year, fly out on 29th for a week, never been

before so looking forward to it, working night shifts over christmas so will

be ready for the weeks hol after. Its my long stretch off on my rota at

work so thought i would make the most of it and go away, maybe working

another year.

Well I'll be in the house with my young son, just the two of us. No-one will babysit New years eve and Hubby is night shift yet again. In the fourteen years we have been together he hasn't had New years eve off once. :cry:

So all you people lucky enough to be going away, HAPPY NEW YEAR :glynis

and have one for me :cry:

cant wait, it will also take our minds off our trip to mexico next august again with helen t. &co.

First year hubby and I can go out as through previous years always needed a babysitter of which we thought was out of the queation for new years eve.
Now the boys are old enough (and very happy to stay at home on the pc

) we can leave them without worry.
After all having a mobile phone am only a call away.
Will just go local too- cannot wait!!

My dads in the process of buying a villa in spain so with any luck, we'll be spending Christmas and New Year by the pool! Should be a 7 day house warming party!

We are going to be in Thailand for New Year's eve.......never been there before so am excited :hyper

Our son is getting married there at the end of December and they have just bought a house so we will be staying there.
We usually spend it in Spain or Portugal, so it will be different this year, especially as we haven't seen our son for just over a year!!!!

At the stroke of midnight we will be standing on the balcony of a hotel, drinking champagne and watching the fireworks at Sydney Harbour, Oz.

Holiday of a lifetime for us and can't wait

Hi Caroline135 ! My daughter qualified as a staff nurse 4 years ago and has worked every Christmas day and New Years EVe since. She's hoping for a bit of a break this year. You're lucky that you have your Christmas rota already, she has to wait a couple more weeks yet.
