Hi bejay. Glad you enjoyed the Algarve and the Tropical Sol apartments. After my recommendation I did think about you, hoping you enjoyed it. It is a bit of a worry when you recommend a place! Did you get to any of the restaurants I recommended? What places did you visit?
I'd like to know whether there is an Iron and kettle in the apartments.
I've had a look on website and at various reviews but can't see the info that I need. We're off on Weds
Thinking of going to albufeira in April and have narrowed my options down to 3 hotels - Tropical Sol, Brisa Sol or Ouratlantico. For purposes of possible elimination, can anyone tell me if the Tropical Sol has an indoor pool? I believe the others do but havent found mention of one in the Tropical Sol.
No indoor pool Carol, but lovely big apartments, not far to walk to the centre.
If I were to stay at either again, I guess it would have to be whichever was the cheapest.
I was drawn to the Brisa Sol because it seems closer to the old town but the Ouratlantico IS cheaper!
O decisions, decisions
Depending on when your planning to go Carol but I notice Ouratlantico doesn't have air conditioning (Brisa Sol does). If you're going in the Summer months I'd recommend air cond.
http://www.freedomdirect.co.uk as they usually have good prices for the Brisa Sol.
If its the old town you want then the Brisa Sol is the one. Have you tried looking at Im assuming air cond shouldnt be an issue cos we are going in April. Does that seem OK?
But think Im definately leaning towards the Brisa Sol at the moment cos everything Iv read seems to suggest old town area is best for kind of holiday (family /sc/ 2kids) hol we want.
Iv been finding find-rooms.com pricing to be the most competitive, but freedomdirect has thrown up a few complexes i havent looked into yet! Wont be booking anything til Easyjet release flights and Im sure of my dates, so plenty of time to decide.
Would also be interested to know if you have any other recommendations closer to old town
Ta
Have booked to stay in the Perola Hotel over xmas, this is situated behind the Modelo Supermarket next to the Brisa Sol, about 100m from taxi rank & train stop, has had some good & bad reviews on forums but had a look at it last xmas and looked a nice hotel and also had an indoor pool. Classed as a four star but most reviews suggest it should be a 3 star but as its a lot cheaper than the BS & Ouratlantico thought we'd try it. Paid £63 for 9 nights in a 1bed apt with freedomdirect, maybe worth looking into.
