Hi, we are going to Goa for the first time in December and I just wanted to say thank you to all the friendly people on here for giving their experiences and advice.
We've been to Kerela a few times, trekking around the rainforests and Western Ghats, around Cochin, houseboats etc but fancied going somewhere else.
Although we are used to the way of life out there (beach hawkers, airport porters, accommodation etc) it has been great reading the tips and hints and places to go in Goa. We have booked for 3 nights at the Wildernest which we would never have known about if it wasn't for this site and it is going to be a great Christmas present - my Mom and Dad paid for us.
We have just heard that we have been granted 40kgs excess baggage so we can take out loads of stuff for Children Walking Tall (again we wouldn't have found them without you lot on here) and it's good to feel that we can help as well as having a great holiday.
Oh, and my Christmas present to myself is getting my teeth whitened!
So thank you all, we are really looking forward to the best Christmas.

Blondpuff - hope you love Goa as much as I do - funny thing is my Xmas pressie to myself last year was also teeth whitening at the Smile clinic - worth every penny.

This Forum is THE friendliest on the Internet, the people on here really are great, I've just ben reading some of the posts for Chilly and they brought a lump to my throat, It's nice to know that there are genuinely nice people in this world.
As for the Wildernest trip...........FANTASTIC, that's all I'll say for now but when you get there you'll know exactly what I mean.

Hi Just the same really as all the above posts, everyone on here is so friendly. We have only been to Goa twice and we are going 3 times this winter and its definitely our favourite holiday destination and Ive learnt so much about Goa on here. No matter what your question is someone will have the answer, its amazing! Ive made some nice new friends thru this forum as well and hope to meet up with as many as possible during our 3 holidays.

Hi, thanks for your replies. I've seen the posts re Chilly and it is really touching. I've been on some other discussion boards and they are no where nearly as friendly as this one - I'm here to stay and hopefully will be able to post some experiences and advice after our trip!
