can anyone give me some advice looking to buy birthdaycake in benidorm for 3 year old girl and is it easier to buy my shopping there than take it with me going to flamigo playa self catering any adive would be grat going on 26th april cannot wait never been before sounds like i will enjoy from what i have read

Hi, the only place I found for cakes was the indoor market.I got a lovely cake for my mum's 65th birthday for 8 euros the only thing was it had a very strong taste of sherry. so beware- :wink:

don't want an hyperactive 3 year old!

Hi boonburger ... I think that when it comes to cake shops, you will be spoilt for choice. There are loads of them around Benidorm, I think there may even be one on Calle Cuenca, the street which leads from Flamingo Playa to the Levante Beach. There used to be a very popular one within the indoor market (close to Hotel Pelicanos) but I'm not sure if it's still there.

My friend went for her workmates 40th birthday and had a cake made from an English lady who had just opened a bakery/cafe.I will ask her where it was next time I see her.

If you can't find a cake just buy a big block of fancy chocolate covered ice cream from a supermarket and stick three candles in it! If she's anything like mine you'd get no complaints.

You dont need to bother taking any food with you as there are plenty of supermarkets about and even if you have anyone who is fussy majority of them sell english products but you may pay a little extra for those. Also it is so cheap to eat out you may find you dont need to cook that much. Have a great time Im going out on 2 May and have just heard that the weather is really hot at the moment so lets hope it continues.

.......forgot to mention about the cake, my friends got me one for my birthday and just asked at one of the local bars, they got one for them and they just paid for it. Hope this helps.

We go self catering to Benidorm and to be honest it,s just as cheap to eat out. Theres plenty of shops and supermarkets to buy things and also the indoor market. No Cookin. No washing up.
