Hey guys,
I am travelling to barcelona by jet2.com. I am staying in a quiet B&B just off Las Ramblas. Can anyone advise me on the best method of getting there from the airport? also does anyone know of any good/cheap restaurants around that area? the B&B that I am staying in is called Bonic Barcelona.
Get the train to Placa Catalunya (top of Las Ramblas) direct from the airport. I would recommend buying a T10 book of tickets if you are planning on site seeing etc. The single fare is a little over €2, may have gone up a little though. The journey takes around 25/30 minutes which can be a lot quicker than taxis in rush hour and of course is a lot cheaper.

PS: I have a few good restaurant links and will sort them out later, one is very good and is actually on Las Ramblas.

Another good one for their "menu of the the day" is El Convent. It is situated at the back of the fruit and veg market on las Ramblas.

There's also the airbus that takes you to the Placa Catalunya.
If you are after traditional Catalan fair then Meson David (C/Carretas 63) is good fun. It's quite near you. It's very basic (i.e. not much to look at) but lots of locals eat there and it's very cheap. It was recommended in the guide book we had and we enjoyed our experience there. They don't have a website but here's a review - http://www.barcelona-metropolitan.com/Article.aspx?TabID=2&MenuID=7&ArticleID=157
