Just made our decision and Goa won(just)over Thailand.Despite all our misgivings about the airport the beach hassle constantly being called a Taxi the relatively poor hotel standards compared to the Far East the airport the beggars and did I mention the airport Goa just has something special that keeps you coming back.Whether it be the beach the sunsets the food the kingfisher the people I just cannot pin it down.Compared to many places I have been in the world Goa is a mess but after our return last year we have caught the bug again.Last year it was Candolim and HBR.This year we have decided on Calangute and the Nizmar.Flying out 22/02/2007 mytravel and decided to pay for the upgrade.
So thanks to you all for this great forum and I am sure I will be pestering you regarding our stay in Calangute.

ooh which airport you going from?we're going from manchester with my travel and have paid for the premiar package too!! 
Manchester in march. 
Manchester for us.Paid £159 for the upgrade which gets more legroom increased seat width better food and IFE and free drinks.We paid a total of 1400 which I know is a lot for goa but exactly the same package with First Choice was 2000.More like second choice this year.
