Unless you go on an organised trip by boat, then no. I think the only fishing you can do is deep sea.

travelling to coral sea on 14 th dec with wife and 2 boys, does anybody know if it is ok to go fishing in red sea as my 2 boys are fishing mad. would like any info as i have been told that it is not allowed as all species of fish are protected in red sea. hope somebody out there can make 2 lads very happy

Fishing is TOTALLY banned there may be some deep sea boats but I didn't / haven't seen any

The main aquatic sport is diving (which I do) closely followed by snorkelling there are boats for parascending and only a few areas where jst ski's are allowed because of the protection needed for the Coral
