Last time I was in Zante was about 6 years ago. I remember it being quite cheap but this was prior to the Euro. I am looking to go to Laganas again next summer but I have no idea how much money to budget for. We are a young couple and are planning on going Self catering for 2 weeks (I remember the food being fantastic in Zante). Any help would be much appreciated.

Self catering for 2 weeks including car rental for a week in Greece usually costs us in the region of £1100. We dont have a budget, we just spend what we fancy. It could be done for quite a bit less.

Should have mentioned we also rent boats and always buy wine with our meals so you could probably do it for less than us. The prices in Greece have certainly gone up since the Euro and the locals do complain about it but whichever way you look at it its much cheaper than living here
Drinks aren't cheap now - almost as expensive as our prices although food is still reasonable. For meals out you could probably expect to pay 1 euro for what would be £1 in the UK.
I don't imgaine we will hire a car or a boat. Probably a pedalo lol.
