This is a bit of an odd request, I know ... I was just wondering whether anyone knew of any travel firms that rent small cabins/cottages in the countryside (not really bothered which part of the country)? Any ideas?

Hi there . We have been to both of these and i would thoroughly recommend either depending on what time of year your going.
http://www.sandy-balls.co.uk which is in the new forest and a lovely part of the new forest at that
also
http://www.kellingheath.co.uk which is in a lovely part of north norfolk close to the coast and norfolk broads
the good thing is they both do weekend breaks all year even at holiday times.
neither of these are loud brash holidays camps. they are ideal for families or couples

Just what I'm looking for, thanks very much! 
I'd recommend http://www.ruralretreats.co.uk. Not the cheapest but very high spec. Just been to one of their lighthouse properties and it was excellent.
