I have just booked a bargin AI going to Jamaica next week, 30th Nov. Can anyone tell me the weather at the moment? Do I need to pack a jacket for nights? Don't want to take too much if not needed.
Also are Mozzies around this time of year?
Thanks for any replies, can't wait to start packing.
9 days and counting down
You're just coming into the December to April peak (ie dry) season, so mozzies shouldn't be a problem. I've been to Jamaica in September and January and from memory mozzies weren't particularly in evidence either time.

Have a look here Kazzy!!!
We were there October into November 2004 and it was fabulous. Hot, mainly sunny and totally brilliant!!
No mozzies where we were (Montego Bay and Negril) and believe me if they'd been there, they would certainly have found me and taken full advantage!!!
Have a marvellous time!!!

Off spray when you are out there. I was born and lived in Jamaica until I was 14 and I don't ever remember a season where there weren't mossies. But I did live in Kingston. Just spray Off before you go to breakfast and dinner and you'll be fine.
Which hotel are you staying in? You'll have a fantastic time. Make sure you get out and about. There is a Meet the People scheme which sounds good. There are lots of organised trips that are worth going on.

Jamaica will be lovely and warm and you ceratinly won't need a jacket. I find the mossie sprays you get here are useless no matter how much deet it has in it. The best thing to do, if you are worried, is to buy Which hotel are you staying in? You'll have a fantastic time. Make sure you get out and about. There is a Meet the People scheme which sounds good. Weather excellant, 1 day of showers but still hot, Hotel, food, pool, beach, great, entertainers and staff very friendly, my daugher loved Renee, Christine, Mona lisa, Aldane and Hughie. The circus crew were great and patient with me when I was scared stiff on the circus trapeze!
We only had a week but went to Dunn's River Falls which was excellant and also Luminous lagoon, amazing.
We were told to be careful when out and about (not much different to home!) but had mostly a lazy time around pool and beach, chillin with cocktails.
Locals on beach were 'no problem' I spoke to lots of people while walking on the beach and even if you don't want to buy from them, they just like to have a chat and were lovely to us. They were polite and welcomed us to the island.
Only problem was a few mozzie bites and frizzy hair
For a cheap late deal it was definetely good value and I'LL BE BACK!! YEAH MAN
