I am travelling in September to the above hotel.

As I am going on a B&B basis I was wondering cost for food and drinks as well as how far from Naama bay it is (walking distance?)

I am happy to have seen very good review on this hotel but hope price of food and drink won't be too expensive

Any other comments about the hotel are welcomed

Thanks

Its up at Ras um el sid so definatley not withtin walking distance of Nama bay, it will take you about 5/10mins in a taxi and costs about £3 We went up there for a drink and a nosey poke around and its gorgeous. Not sure on the cost of food but its £3.50 for a bottle of sakara beer. The beach isnt great, but the pool area is fab and the snorkelling is wonderful.

Hi,
Am new to the board but have been reading for a few days and have learnt loads of stuff so thanks for that.

I am off to Sharm on Tuesay. cant wait.

Was wondering though if there is anything around the ritz carlton hotel? I know it is about 10 mins away from Naama Bay so thats fine. But I was wondering about a little supermarket and things and maybe some small restaurants in walking distance to the hotel so I wont be held hostage into paying so much for drinks and food in the hotel.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing within walking distance that I saw when driving past the hotel or along that particular road for that matter. However, 10 mins from Naama Bay is probably only a few pounds in a taxi, so that is probably your best bet anyway. Even with paying for a taxi it will be MUCH cheaper than the hotel.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone stayed at the Ritz-Carlton. Interested to know if the snorkelling :fish is good from the beach. Will the sea be nice and warm in may/June. Can you walk straight into the sea or do you need to get in via a jetty.

many thanks Sandra

HT members reviews are Here and suggest great snorkelling with a pontoon for access over the reef.

Just booked this hotel for the first week in May 2007. Can anyone give me some tips/info about prices of drinks and if there are any bars/restaurants within walking distance or cab prices and recomendations for bar/restaurants at Naama?
