Christmas day in Goa.
It started on Christmas eve, I phoned the Ma Thai and was told that no members had shown so I went to Molly Malone's and got wrecked, most where in a holiday mood singing drinking and stuffing their faces and so was I.
Christmas morning my head was on the heavy side great difficulty getting it off the pillow, I managed to crawl to the bathroom then the fridge for WATER, after drinking a mix of water and fruit juice I could now feel my legs and I could see my feet so I knew they where there just no feeling.
2 hours later I'm almost feeling human so after a shave and shower I went for breakfast at Toto's, Jo and his beautiful daughter Maria greeted me like I was family with hugs and kisses and best Christmas wishes, iced coffee and pineapple juice by the bucket full, then scrambled eggs and toast, mistake, I felt awful so I decided to go back to bed, not a chance.
Gungah a Goan friend shown up with Peter a Danish mate with a crate of Kingfisher, the thought of booze was turning my stomach over, so just water for me, after an hour Peter decided he was off to the beach and Gungah went back to his shop, peace at last.
1.30 pm and without going into detail I'm feeling good and a lot lighter Christmas lunch beckons.
Lobster and a salad went down well with a few glasses of wine and a rather Large bowel of ice cream and fresh fruit, I was stuffed and unable to keep my eyes open, back to bed.
8pm and I'm feeling good so off out for a few G & Ts, come 12pm I'm back in bed, twas a long day but a happy day.
Boxing day was much calmer no rush I had had a good sleep and woke up starving, naturally no food in the house but half a packet of soggy Marie biscuits would have to do until Toto's opened at 8.30, after a large breakfast I went for a ride on my scooter I'm a happy rider, off the main roads Candalim and Calangute are really quite nice the locals waving at me with good mornings and happy Christmas, yes I think I have made the right choice to come and live in Goa.
