I'd be very surprised if many people on this forum have flown with Meridiana on more than a few occasions. It's more than possible for a person to have their judgement based purely on a single flight, which can go well or badly. Getting a consistent opinion is much harder. I once flew Meridiana, from Gatwick to Sicily, via Florence, and they were very good, in my humble opinion.... certainly no worse than anyone else.

Thanks for your replies. We ended up booking Easyjet flights in the end as we were fed up waiting for Ryanair and Meridiana to release their summer schedules. We have saved about £300 on the current Ryanair/Meridiana fares so are happy enough with our decision.
