What a night ! Went to bed early and was soon fast asleep. Weather had been pleasant with no warning of what was to come ! Woke up soon after at about 11 p.m. as a strong sandstorm moved in from the west. Near hurricane force winds and blinding, choking sands hit us hard for a good one hour ! One large window broken, staff all up and barricading up the other windows and doors. Sand everywhere !

Then dead calm with clear skies followed by brief rain shower. This morning weather changing every few minutes - clear, sunny skies, no wind, too much wind, a heavy rain shower and another sandstorm leading to another broken window !

Even now its turning very cloudy again... what else can we get ?


Early morning

Then suddenly more strong winds this time from the north

Then heavy rain

And then sunshine - all within one hour !

But we managed to escape to go visit the camel races... but that is another story !
