Excuse the title as I'm sure there is a better phrase to use but I have a mental block at the moment.

Anyway, we are hoping to go on holiday with friends to Italy. I don't think we'd manage sharing a house as we'd like a bit of freedom as well on the holiday. We both have 2 kids under three years. Are there any places where you can hire out small villas close to each other (something similar to the camping sites in France etc) so that we would be near enough but would also have that bit of independence etc? Any info would be really appreciated. Many thanks
