Hi everyone
Here I am again looking for advice from HT members as stating in my earlier posting we are going to Bali in September and possible staying in the Legian Beach Hotel which I believe is near the shops/restaurants/nightlife but after looking at various other accommodation website I am now confused - some say hotel is 3km from town centre others a 2 mins walk, we dont mind a stroll into town of an evening but not looking for a yomp!! I have posted this question on a Bali forum but had no replied............yeah should have asked HT's first
Also if anyone can recommend other hotels in the Legian area I would be grateful, we like the nightlife but like our hotel to be slightly out of town centre.
Thanks again
Jules x
Legian is within walking distance from Kuta. It's a bit quieter than Kuta and caters for families and couples. There are heaps of restaurants in Legian and after you have shopped in Kuta you probably wouldn't want to bothered going back there to eat.
Which Bali travel forum did you post on? I'm a member of http://www.balitravelforum.co (have been for years) perhaps you'd like to post on ours... it's a very busy site and someone will answer you. We have a few Poms on the forum :-)
The btf members meet up across the road from the Legian Beach Hotel (near the life saver tower) at 4:30 for a drink... this goes on till stumps. You pay at the end of the night when you count up the empties under your seat :-) They only sell beer and soft drink. Often people then go out for dinner after. It's run by a couple of beach hawkers called Sammy and Suzi. All it is is an esky (cooler) under a tree and some little plastic stools to sit on and good company. Some people miss it because they are looking for a building... it's not.
I'll watch out for your post. I post as Geri.
Cheers Geri
As always HT's have come good
The map is very good Fiona shows lots of hotels (a few that I have interest in)
gerib - to be honest I cant remember the forum or should i say cant find it again ...........think it was virtual tourist !! but I have now found the forum you are member of and will registered and post my questions..........thanks for the info........the meeting place across the road from hotel sounds like our kind of place
