Staying in Beverley Yorkshire for a few days over half-term.
Anyone got any suggestions for sights to see and things to do?
We will probably do "The Deep" in Hull one day but would welcome any suggestions.
TIA
If you have little ones with you, Thomas the Tank Engine is at the National Railway Museum in York from the 10th to the 25th.
Eden Camp 1940s wartime museum is OK for a rainy day If its sunny a trip up to Bridlington or a walk on the cliffs at Flamborough if you google things to do in East Yorkshire it will bring up loads of info theres bound to be lots to suit.

There is always York, about half an hour away. You could spend at least a week there. The York 'eye' is next to the Railway museum, well worth the trip.
Dont forget to visit Beverley minster.
There's loads of options available.

It won't take you that long - pencil something in for the rest of it!
Flamborough Head to North Landing and back is a great walk if the weather is fine.
Spurn Point is also an 'interesting' place.

What about the Forbidden Corner

It's a garden with little hidden corners with "surprises" in store. Take a towel, I can guarantee you will get wet

Thank you for all of your replies and the time taken to post them.
We've done York a couple of times and we think that the National Railway Museum is the best museum we've visited. might try Pickering and the steam railway there. Will probably try a bracing walk at Bridlington.
Have to say that the coverage of this part of the world by serach engines is not that good.

We went to the Railway museum yesterday, we had a fab time £7 to park and free entrance in. If you like Chinese theres a great buffet one 10 mins walk away, we had lunch there £5.49 for adults and half price for kids under 9and free for under 3`s.
Pickerings one of our favorite places, we go camping there alot. A good place to park is further on from the station. There is a fish farm there which is good if you have young children. If you are planing on useing the train it works out cheaper to do a day rover type ticket for a family, be sure to get there early to make the most of the day.
Have a great time.
