If you want to walk around and soak up the atmosphere in sharm, then you need to be near Naama bay, CSR and a lot of hotels are a long way out, you couldnt walk it. Alot of people go to CSR and others like them because they are AI and they are stuck basically in the middle of nowhere. if you like peace and quiet in the day, but want bars at night then you will require a cab to get you into Naama Bay.

We always stay at the sonesta beach resort, you can walk along the promenade and eat in some very beautiful restaurants really cheap. Also in the hotel is a bar where you can watch sport or drink on the roof. It is AI or B & B with Thomson, rooms are really big on spilt levels as well. There are a lot of drinking places on an evening in Sharm, good shops as well.

If you dont like confinement, be very careful which hotel you go for.

CSR is very nice but you will need a taxi to get you to town.
