Just booked flights to dubrovnik today(before the prices goes up even more ) but have not booked accomodation yet. We fancy renting a private apartment in the dubrovnik area,i.e cavtat, somewhere suitable for a toddler, preferably with a sea view and if possible a swimming pool.
I have looked at a few on ''holiday lettings'website, one was suitable but no phone number available to contact owner, which I didnt really feel happy about.
If anyone could recommend a studio/apartment for 2 adults + infant I would be grateful.
thanks,
jackie

I can recommend Cavtat, we ended up at Villa Markoc, which was lovely - but it is a 15 minute walk steeply uphill from the sea front., so might not be suitable with a toddler. There was lots more to choose from though.

I thought Cavtat was lovely as well. The sea is really calm as there isn't a tide but the beach is very pebbly - take sea shoes for all the family.
Does anyone think im right to be suspicious of apartment not giving their telephone no, and I also asked for reservation form to be sent and he wasnt forthcoming with that either.
Hi - we have just booked private accomodation via the following website - all seems verg good and legit...

Can you tell me if Dubrovnik is ok for a pushchair or do you think we would be better taking little one in a carrier type thing?
You might be better with a carrier in Dubrovnik. The main street is on the level but to explore properly, there are narrow alleyways and lots of steps. Take care, as the polished limestone streets can be rather slippy.
Just sent my deposit off to Anita, so I better get in training for the steep hill with a buggy
Thanks for all your advice re; cavtat and Dubronik. Definately going to invest in a baby carrier.
Regarding boat trips, do these go from cavtat or dubrovnik harbour?, we would like to visit Lupud Island and a few others, can you recommend any good places to visit by boat?
jackie
Hi Jackie, The only boat we used, was the one to and from Dubrovnik from the harbour at Cavtat. I think several companies operate this and there was a boat around once an hour, during the day. We did see other boat trips advertised from Cavtat but as we were only there a week and we had a hire car for 3 days, we didn't go on any others. There may also be more regular ferry services from Dubrovnik harbour to the islands.
