You can get the Don Bigote Hotel 3* located close to the beach in palma nova, short walk to Magalluf for £20.00 per night half board.
Has pool, bar decent food, excellent location. Nothing fancy but perfect for a bunch of guys and you get meals chucked in which keeps your costs down even more.

Kind Regards

Cheers for that, hadn't actually considered Palma Nova but looking at the map it is very close and gives us a nice quiet place to go when the old ears are ringing. I'll certainly look into that. The flights we got are 27th June out and 5th Jult back, 8 nights as it was quite a bit cheaper than 7 nights !

Don Bigote Hotel can be bought off the Easyjet site and also from this company in Palma

English staff and very helpful. If you still want magalluf e-mail them and tell them what you want and they will help.

Have stayed at the Don Bigote myslef with a group of lads. Its a great location, its clean the food is good although you may want to eat out once or twice as it gets a bit samey but for £20.00 half board who cares. cant comment on breakfast never made it.

Cheers for all that guys, really appreciated and given me loads to think about now. I think i'll have to get eveyone round the pc and we'll make a joint decision so that everyones happy. On another quick point if we were to stay in Palma Nova (which is looking like an excellent option as I need at least some peace and quiet during the holiday). how far a walk is it into magalluf (and are there plenty of bars along the way!) or will it be a taxi ride ?
Reply
you can walk it to magalluf.either the back way.or up along torrenova.and then passed the bugeing jump then down the hill.too the island and they are lots of good bars in that area.get on the main road and benny hills ect is along that road...just walk round you cannot get lost..if you do feel lot get a taxi back..all 3 resorts are now join together.most people dont know they are in mag/pn...you will enjoy it.20 mins to town on bus

A stroll to main strip of magalluf 15-20 minutes, stopping at bars along the way 2 hours.

A cab ride is about 5 euros so among 4 of you isnt going to break the bank.

We used to stroll up and taxi back.

My opinion it is nicer to be in Palma Nova during the day and head up magalluf for nighttime.

HI YA,

ive stayed in the Sol Y Vera and so have my mates and there IDEAL.
About 4/5 mins from the Jungla and a two min walk from BCM Club

Rooms are nice - with bathroom which is clean and modern, bedroom and large sitting room and kicthen with good balcony - only prob was NO air con and was a heat wave when we were there - but just hire a fan

if there cheap i would go for it - i was there in 2005 and my mates were there off my recommendation in 2006 and bought me a huge bottle of champers as a thank you for letting them know about it (so they must have loved it as well)

just email me if you want to know any more about the apartment!

Oh and lads being lads you can get girls in no problem (lol obviously we managed to get lads in no questions asked!)

and what i would say is ref reviews, some people pay £10 a night and expect 5 star accomodation therefore will bad review a place.

if like myself you kinda just want somewhere clean, spacious, central and no hassle when coming in early hours then this is your place

has a small pool and poolside bar which is good as well.

there also just set back off the main strip so you dont get much noise (there located behind shops on main road that BCM's on)

Also no problem in going into Jungla and using pool - there next door to the Tropical (part of same Fiesta chain) and when we stayed at the Tropical a group of lads whos mates where staying else where at the pool every day - Junglas pool is MAD - has the tunes blasting all day and loads of 20 sumthings!! the Troplica is slightly more families

have you tried the sol y vera direct?
http://www.solyvera.com/

got loads of pictures on there so you can see there pretty good especially for what you want (lads week away)

PRICED UP DIRECT FROM 27th June 2006 and its 58 euros a room per night (1 bed apartment to sleep 4) which is only £ 10.00 each a night)

Have a look at http://www.bestholidays4u.com - you can get the Hotel Teix right by the Prince William Pub for 204.00 for 2 pax for 8 nights on b&b, or the Hotel Don Juan for 346 for 2 pax on hb

Word of warning about Hotel Teix - it's a hostal, not a hotel and it's where we send people when they literally have little money and no where to stay. It's a bit rough!

Sol y Vera is just off Avenida S'Olivera, where we are, and although it's not the Ritz, we hear very little poor comments about it.

Cheers,

Adam
