I am going out to Tenerife on Tuesday. I know the restrictions on liquid in hand luggage flying out of the uk but does it apply flying out of Tenerife too.In other words do i have to buy my duty free once we have gone through passport control or can i buy in resort to carry on?When we went to Cyprus we could take drinks through, just confused by it all!

My understanding is if you buy in resort, put it in your main luggage. Do not take as hand luggage. If you purchase at the airport after passing through passport control etc you will be ok.

Came home yesterday,no liquids are allowed in hand luggage until you have passed through customs.Pack in your luggage or they will be confiscated if found in hand luggage at customs
Many thanks, guess I will be buying my duty free at the airport then.Oh well at least that cuts down on time looking round the shops comparing prices, one bonus i suppose more time to sunbathe and drink!
