Thanks for all the information on the night market in Colva. I have visited the market in Margao on my last visit. Does anyone have any other information/good tips about Colva? My daughter would love to do some yoga, lots of pampering and is thinking of getting her hair and teeth done.
What else are mums for?????

I'd better check before I submit my messages. Sorry folks!

Pity there's no more Monday market but maybe they will have changed their mind by next year!
JNH - sorry don't know much about any yoga, but there's a beauty salon called Naomi's which is on the road going out of Colva towards Benaulim - I didn't use it myself but I heard some people in the hotel talking about it and sounded good.
We went to the dentist while we were there - Colva Dental Clinic, just by the big church, again on the road out of Colva towards Benaulim. We just had ordinary dental work done (fillings & cleaning), but she does tooth whitening for about 8000 rupees.
Hope this helps

Lizspain - thanks so much about - now I know where to go to the hairdressers and good news about the dentists being local. I know everyone on here talks about getting their teeth whitened but it mainly seems to be in the North. I'm not sure I remember where you stay when you're in Goa?

Hi
We stayed in the Oceanique hotel as it was our first visit (but definitely not our last) so we got a package, but we have got details of so many other places to stay that next year we will do it ourselves - we were offered a good deal with Amigo Plaza - a small hotel with good sized rooms down the same road that leads to the Oceanique at a fraction of the price we were quoted for the Oceanique.
Have a great time while you're there - maybe you can give me some more ideas for next year!

Can you remember if the Oceanique have hairdryers in the rooms?
Only 2 weeks to go and am now starting to think about what to take?

Hi JNH

No, there wasn't a hairdryer in the room, also I suggest you take a torch, as the lane from the hotel to Colva centre isn't well lit at night, sometimes the few street lights work, sometimes not! It will also help you to miss the potholes and not fall over the pigs crossing the road late at night (no I hadn't had too many G&Ts!). Some mossie spray for the room would come in handy (you can buy that cheaply once you arrive) as we had a gap under our door and mossies etc would find their way in.
Don't worry about beach towels as these are supplied every day.
Have a great time
