Just back from a fortnight in Tunisia, staying at the Sol El Mouradi in Port El Kantaoui. I will post a full holiday review in due course.
We travelled on 3rd September, and the weather was superb for the first week, with temps in the mid 30's each day. Second weeks started with a thunderstorm, and we had a few mixed days being overcast and then very hot again. Temperatures back to 30's again when we left on sunday.
Overall, the hotel complex was nice, and PEK marina and 'town square' was nice (about 20 minute walk from our hotel). We did travel through to Sousse one day, but overall, we felt the resorts were quite limited, and the days did get a bit monotonous by the 2nd week.
However, we had our (almost) 3 year old son with us, and we felt that with an older child, or if we had been a couple, we could/would have seen more of the country, and got a bit more from the holiday (would have like to have visited El Djem).
I think at the moment, Tunisia is a country which needs to be explored (two day sahara sfari for example) - We just couldn't do this with our young son.
However, we had a good two weeks - the Tunisians are very friendly, and we would consider going back when our son is older.
Like I say, I will post a full review when I get the chance.

I was suppose to go to tunisia this year as i always go year after year, but i didnt think it would be suitable for my little boy either as he is only 22mnths.
Would you agree that its more suitable for older kids, and that they dont have much variety in the way of kids foods when your there.
I love port el kantaoui especially the marina. did you go on any boat trips.
Next week were off to turkey for a fortnight, i hope that ive made the right decision in changing from tunisia.
Look forward to hearing your review

Yeah, generally I think Tunisia is probably better suited to older kids, as a lot of the activities, he was too young for (Beach activities, some of the games/activities at the hotel).
He did love the hotel 'Mini-Disco' though, just before the evening entertainment!!!
As for choice of food, it turned into a bit of a chore, as he is a very fussy eater. None of the restaurants we visited had a 'childrens menu', and we ended up ordering an adult portion, which he couldn't eat all of.
He ended up living on pasta/bolognese or chips or rice - Oh, and Pringles!
Most other things, he wouldn't eat.
We only went on one trip, to Friguia Animal Park, which we booked through our JMC rep. It is a safari type park/zoo, which he loved.
I would go back to Tunisia, but not until our son is a few years older, just so he could get a bit more out of the hoilday as well.

When we booked/visited it was called the Sol el Mouradi, however during our stay they began to rebarnd it, and I believ it is now just the El Mouradi.
Anyway, thiught I better get my report done, as we are going back to PeK in July, staying at the Marhaba Palace this time!!!
