Time has come to start thinking about our hols in August.
Me my wife and 14 year old daughter are booked in to the Royal Park in Elenite for two weeks commencing the beginning of August , it will be our first visit to Bulgaria.
Got a great deal in a two bedroom suite which worked out similar price to s/c in most other resorts and countries..We plan to use the complex as base for the daytime , bit of breakfast ,swim , sun ,few beers and snacks.
I understand the complex has very mixed reviews but as a base and not being tied to it 24/7 should be fine for us
Our aim is to head out to Sunny beach most nights and take advantage of the many bars restaurants and entertainments.
What i need to know is what are the likely costs going to be this year.
As a ball park figure ,not including transport to and from Sunny beach what will it cost us to wine and dine for the three of us?Although wont be looking for 5 star food every night will expect good wholesome food , nice wine etc.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Jim
.
My rule of thumb is think what you would spend in this country to do what you want and then half that amount and you wont go far wrong.
Patka
We have 2 kids and although we go to a different region you should get by on 20£ a night .We usually order a main meal each with a salad , country potatoes ,bottle of wine and kids drinks . You may be lucky and get change .
From my recent visit to the Varna/Dobrich area, prices in general have not dramatically increased in Bulgaria as a whole but, as Patka indicated, the resorts do not necessarily reflect 'normal' Bulgarian prices, so costs in the resorts are anyone's guess until the tourist season begins.
