HI,
We went to Gumbet in August about 5 years ago and had a great holiday. If you're looking for a breeze you'll probably be disapointed. There was an unexpected heatwave whilst we were there and the temps at the airport hit 50 degrees one day (according to the rep who told us that if the heat kept up we'd all be advised to stay indoors during the hotest part of the day.)
There was a gentle breeze on the occasional evening which felt coolish. This was probably due to the fact that we'd become used to the scorching heat of the day.
I can only suggest that if it becomes too hot for you to drink plenty of water, wear a hat and seek shade under a parasol. Alternatively retire to an air conditioned bar.
Have fun.

Gumbet bay does usually have a cooling breeze, especially at the beach. But its unlikely at end July into mid-August. If theres a breeze at all at that time of year, its a hot one, which makes you feel like you are walking around with a hairdyer blowing hot in your face.

I was also there during the heatwave in 2000 - I didn't venture out of my apartment at all for nearly 2 weeks until after 6pm, and that was only to walk down to work, and straight under the air conditioning unit in the office!
