hi been going to salou for the last six years and stayed at cambrils one year at the cambrls park bungalows. lovely. the marina is nice and there is a market on a certain day (don't remember what day) very tranquil and the beach is a lot quieter than salou main beach. great ice cream parlours and there is a mcdonalds along there. plenty seafood places. hope this helps.

just to add ,buses go up and down the main road from salou to cambrils all the time ,probably 15 mins max journey time

To Beermat and Lincoln Imp - Thanks for replies. Will definitely try and get there in May. Ice cream parlours sound good but will probably give McDonalds a miss.

Beermat - you mention about market in Cambrils but are not sure what day it is on. Does anybody else know?

Can you spend a full day there or is half a day long enough?

Andy, when we go we usually have a visit to Cambrils or the other direction is Tarragona - which is also nice for a visit

hi half day is long enough. nice stroll down to the seafront after shopping is nice or stop off and have a cold beer at one of the seafront bars. lovely.......
