I normally stay at Villamarina club, but its about 20 minute walk from the beach and is all inclusive. However they do have a good kids club and will keep your one going for hours. Have a look on Fleetway travel. Or there is the Santa Monica playa. Thats near the beach and they do half board.

villa romana sounds ok I only found it half board for £278 for 6 nights which is ok...how much is a taxi from reus airport please? is the hotel near the night life?

Very nice, I will let you know what the hotel is like, I am off to there 25th May 2007, will do a full review when i get back. Have heard some good things about it though.

The VilLaRomana is an excellent hotel, with a great pool and good food. We went there last year and are going back in July. To address a couple of the OP's questions, it's not that close to the nightlife, nor the beach (10-15 minutes walk). One huge plus is that it's right behind PortAventura's Hotel Caribe and is only a 10 minute walk from the park. It's a must if you're taking a 10 year old! I don't know about cab fares from Reus, but it only takes about 20 minutes so it can't be too expensive.
