Hi Lynsey, not heard from you for a while. have you tried looking at excel for flights. I believe they go to Hurghada from Glasgow.
I am sure that Thomas Cook and Thomson used to go over the winter but have not seen their brochures for this winter.

Hi there, thanks for your reply, have tried just about everyone. Looked as though there were flights about a month ago going out on the 23 November but cant find any at all now and most of the companies are saying that there is ony a Glasgow-Sharm flight this winter, just wondering what would have happened if we had booked the holiday when we priced it back then

Travel company said at the time that it was only Airtours that would do a flight on the Friday 23rd Nov, what we got priced on. Airtours are now saying that they dont and never have had a flight that day !!! Very confusing, as they said at the time that they were using a TCX plane too I'm stumped as we really want to go to El Gouna this year but would rather not travel down to Manchester.

I've picked up Thomsons Egypt brochure for winter 07/08 today and unfortunately they are not showing flights from Glasgow to Hurghada. Only Glasgow - Sharm.

Just phoned Thomson, they dont seem to be doing a flight to Hurghada from Manchester this winter Either that or the girl on the other end of the phone was new in her job

As far as she can see there is no flight this winter even though the brochure states there is. I think someone is trying to tell us something re going to El Gona instead of Sharm this year. Especially as today Globespan announced they are doing Glasgow-Sharm this winter

Thomson's flights to Hurghada are usually Tuesdays if that helps

Guess it's not feasible for you to fly down to Manchester or Birmingham for the Fri Hurghada flights with XL?

First Choice also doing flights now from Gatwick on a Friday - and fares weren't too bad when I checked

Have just tried Portland Direct but their search engine is down just now. I am sure someone does do this flight but cant think where I have seen this.
