Hi There, I'm looking for accommodation that caters for the young and lively in Playa Del Ingles, preferrably central to all the night life
However all the reviews mention problems with cockroaches, which i detest and it would ruin my holiday
I'm hoping to travel on the 19th of May
Can anyone recommend central accommodation which is very clean without a huge cockroach problem
Thank you
saw you were posting on the grancanaria info forum as well.
I've just got back from the Liberty apartments which are on Avenida do Tirajana - about 3 minutes walk from the Yumbo centre - so central for that. Would be 5 minutes to Gran Chapparel centre, and 10 minutes to the Kasbah. 10 minute walk to the edge of the sand-dunes, another 10 minutes or so to the sea from there.
Exceptionally clean, no cockroaches and a great standard. I paid just over £18 a night - try travelsupermarket.com to compare prices, though Thomson have got it for £19 a night on their website at the moment.
If you need any more help/advice let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks alot for the reply :-)
I went to PDI last July ans stayed in the Corona Blanca apartments they are a 2 minute walk from the kasbah centre and they are spotless we only had one cockroach crawl in but that was only because we had the balcony door wide open. I would recommend these apartments.
Cockroaches are a heat thing and not really associated with the cleanliness of a place. Any apartment will attract them if doors are left open (especially at night) They are all part and parcel of the holiday I'm afraid. I am absolutely terrified of them but they live there and they are everywhere!!!! During holidays at Sunwing, staff gave us a spray - think it was called Baygone - not sure - but it was great - we sprayed it along door openings and windows and they keeled over as they came in.....
The apts were spotless , but they were in there all over the hallways.
Horrible.
I got a spray from the supermarket and sprayed along the doors and windows and in the hallway.
We never saw another one untill we went outside.
