It's about 3 years since we went to Kalamaki but we had a brilliant time. You have a short transfer, you are close to Zakynthos Town if you want to visit, you are close to the Vasilikos peninsula which has fantastic beaches and Laganas is just down the road if you want to be lively! Congratulations on your good choice, it is however Greece for the English (Sky sports, Karaoke, English breakfasts, burger/pizza bars etc). Anyway nevermind you will have a great time. The beach is lovely and I am told some of the restaurants are amongst the best in Greece. Michaelos was very good and Petrino. If you look at http://www.justzante.co.uk/ and www holidays-uncovered.co.uk there are tons of reviews from other visitors.
Enjoy,
Yiamass, Jean
P.S. There is nothing wrong with Greece for the English. I think you need this when you still have your teenagers with you.
Hi, we were in Kalamaki last summer staying at Golden Sun Hotel. We have already booked the Venus Hotel for 2008! There are loads of very good restaurants, we particularly enjoyed the Italian on the roof top (Buon Amici), Mermaids and Olive Grove. Jeep safari is a really good day out, and you must take a boat trip to visit the ship wreck. We also did some diving with the dive school in Laganas. We spent our days mostly relaxing on the beach, then trying the different restaurants and bars in the evening. OH proposed there last year and we get married next week - so it's very special to us!
