Also keep in mind that they wouldnt of done that to you without very good reason, perhaps they had some inteligence that day/week and reason to believe that extra checks where/are needed. At the end of the day its hassle and uncomfortable for them as well as you.

it didnt bother me that much, but to stand by and watch them search my daughter was awful , im all for security but i think they could have done this more carefully for children, i think to have kids frisked at 7 is dreadful and then have to try and explain to a 7 yr old why they are doing this so really awful, everyone that was on the flight was moaning about it as we had already been searched going through security
I see what you are saying, it does seems a bit rough to do that to a child.
