does anybody know what facilities there are in cala d'or for young babies. Can you buy baby items there - pampers, huggies, farleys, heinz etc?
also canyou buy sma white ready to feed milk?
many thanks
sam
Went to Cala D'or last year but my daughter's now 3 so was out of nappies and milk! At last!
You'll love it - where are you staying?
we're going to the ferrera blanca appartments. we got a last minute deal, booked it a couple of weeks ago. We saved £700 on the brochure price. We went to alcudia last year but didn't have the baby then so didn't take much notice of the baby items. Any recommendations for places to eat, visit etc would be extremely helpful.

The beaches are in pretty little coves. If you want a larger beach Cala mondrago is about 5 miles away - beautiful. I believe there's a bus that goes to it.
There's a little mini train that goes from your end round the resort to the marina on a big loop - 3 euros return - good for having a look around the resort.
There's different parts to Cala D'or - near you there are a few english type restaurants and bars.
In cala D'or centre itself are lovely pedestrianised cobbled squares - you feel as though your in Spain there if you know what I mean.
Then there's the marina - there's some fab restaurants there - our favourite was the Acuarius but it depends what you looking for - it's a little more upmarket than burger bar etc. We booked a table near the waterfront most evenings - very family friendly and accomodating!
If you go right round the marina - there's a hotel called the Rocamarina - no children are allowed in the hotel but over the road they have a restaurant near the tennis courts - fab steak. Right next to another little beach so good to pop to in the day too.
My favourite beach is the one near your apartments - by the Ponent Playa hotel.
There's crazy golf in the centre of Cala D'or too. Also on the walk from your end into town there's a bar called the Tropical gardens that's supposed to have good entertainment etc.
We had a beer here but wasn't really our seen.
Cala D'or is a lovely resort. We went last September and are going again this year - we found no 'idiots' around - like us - middle aged couples with young children and older people - felt very safe.
We stayed mainly be the pool all day - it has little splash park that comes on 3 times a day, then my daughter and hubby would have a nap about 2.30 for couple of hours (MY TIME BY THE POOL!!!) -Then we'd have a 15 min stroll to the marina for dinner at about 8. At about 10.30 we'd stroll back into the centre of Cala D'or for a couple of cocktails at a hawaiin cocktail bar and watch the world go by! Then when little one had had enough off we went back to apartments - usually by about 12. So relaxing!
You can take the pushchair right up to the door of the plain. I gave my daughter calpol about an hour before the flight just in case it gave her ears a bit of jip. She mostly slept there and back!
Give your child either a dummy or bottle on take off and landing - will pop her ears with the sucking action! There is a mineral water which is specific for infants - can't remember the name - it has low mineral content in it.
Any other questions just ask - have a fab time - I cant wait!!!!!!!

Hi we took 2 young children to Cala d'or a couple of years ago and we only took enough nappies, milk, food for 2 days the rest we bought there. Can't remember whether they do sma milk though. Cala d'or is definatley geared up for children so I don't think you will have a problem.
