Our rooms smelt of smokers. We had no hot water and when we told the manager this he said to run the taps for at least 10 minutes. This did not work. After 2 days they changed our rooms this time we had hot water.
The food was not bad only you had to get in first as there was never much left if you got in after 7.30. The staff in the dining room were not very nice in fact they could be very rude.
The hotel is not for those who cannot walk up hill. There is a pole dancing club next door which we did not go in.
Having said all this Tiggir is a lovely place and we would go back but not to this hotel.

Cleanliness.
The hotel clearly has a problem with plumbing. The Bathroom in our room was awful, with plaster falling off the ceiling and rust on the bath. The carpet in the room was threadbaer in places. Having said that, the room was cleaned every day, and towels were changed each day, so although the bathroom left a lot to be desired - it was clean.
Food. Breakfast was OK, but the same every day. Evening meal, which we sometimes had, was OK too, but much the same each day.
Location. Probably the best point. It was a short walk to the beach front, where there were lots of cafes/Bars, etc where you could stop and drink in a lovely position. You could get to Trogir via boat fromm the beach (10 kunar), the hotel shuttle bus (10 kunar) or if you're feeling energetic you can walk it in about an hour. Pleasant walks in both directions along the beach. Split is quite accessable too, with bus/taxi fares being very cheap.
Hotel staff was probably the worst point. We found the staff to be miserable and unhelpful - but didn't let it spoil our holiday.
Entertainment - very little in the hotel - there was a pizzeria with an open terrace which was open late, where you could drink and have a little dance in the open air, which was lovely - apart from that not a lot.
In my opinion, this hotel has the potential to be an excellent hotel. But at the moment, it seems like a hotel trying to get back to past glories.
They seem to have invested in some areas - the 'visible' ones - but need to upgrade the rooms.
They also need to use staff who are maybe younger, friendlier and have a sense of humour.
I'm afraid at the moment,I could not honestly recommend this hotel.
