We booked a last minute deal to this hotel. After reading some reviews that didn't sound too bad we though we'de give it a go.
big mistake!!!!!
We arrived around 11pm and wanted nothing more but to get some sleep. Our room was musky, damp and felt more like a cell than a hotel room. There was mould in the wardrobe, no shower curtain and our view from the balcony was a brick wall!
We complained that night and were basically told that we'de booked last minute-what do you expect! Well when paying well over £1000 i expected a hell of a lot more than that!
We were moved the next morning to a better room in the main buildiing.
The breakfast was ok, typical continental, the pool bar food was good and very reasonably priced. But there weren't enough sun beds or space aound the pool, everyone felt very close together.
The bar staff were great and the breakfast staff too were friendly, but not all the staff were welcoming!
I would never return to this hotel.

Stayed at Katerina Palace for 2 weeks,Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast was traditional greek buffet with plenty of options, ranging from Cereals, Toast, Ham and Cheese, Yoghurt Eggs(Boiled,Scrambled or Fried)ect. Rooms were very spaceous, beautifully decorated and cleaned every day with Clean towels and bedding twice a week. Hotel Staff were very friendly and approachable. The 2 Pools were big enough, with plenty of sunbeds for all and the pool bar was run efficently, with a good choice of food and drink. Without doubt we would stay here again.

Extremely clean Hotel. I believe the owner Katerina makes a big thing of this. The staff were ver friendly and always spoke. Staff on reception were quick to answer any querries etc.
The two swimming pools were OK. I did'nt mind the fixed positions for the sun brolly, it kept the beds from being bunched up as I've seen at some Hotels.
The breakfast was as expected, very basic:
Plenty of Coffee
Orange or Cherry fruit drinks
Cornflakes(Local Brand)
Slices of processed ham
Slices of cheese
Eggs, mainly boilded, but occasionly scrambled etc.
Brown sliced bread or White buns
Facility to make toast
Pool Bar was OK. Hamburgers, and bar snacks available til 4:00PM

This hotel is very nice and very pretty.
It has 2 swimming pools and in the week we were there we only had a problem with not being able to get sunbeds on one occasion on our second to last day, but we found a gorgeous beach-side pool bar to spend our last full day at and that actually made our holiday!
As we went in August it was SCORCHING hot and our apartment did not have air conditioning. It was completely unbearable in the room without air con, so we asked at reception if we could switch to a room with air con and she said we had to wait until the sunday (2days later) as the hotel was fully booked and we could be moved. This did happen and it was 100% more pleasent in this room with air con.
The breakfast was nice, usual food you would expect. Always filled us up until late afternoon and then we'd have a small snack or ice cream.
All in all the hotel was great, we never stay in the same place twice (we like visiting different places) but if we had to, we'd definitely stay here again.

This is probably the cleanest hotel/apartment that I have ever stayed in in any of the Greek Islands - not a cockroach in sight.
We stayed bed and breakfast which was continental but it was good enough to keep you going until lunchtime. We bought a loaf of bread most days from the supermarket across the road as they only gave you crusty rolls to toast. Some days you were given scrambled eggs or beans and sausage but most days it was hard boiled eggs, jam, cheese and ham along with rolls and cereal and hot drinks and juice.
The apartments were spacious enough for the amount of people who were sharing. They were cleaned on a daily basis and towels were changed every day. Air-con is supplied free of charge between certain times but it was still too warm so I paid the extra 5euros per day and got the 'real' air-con which was really good as you are given a remote control so that you can choose your own temperature and adjust it to suit.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Jan the English guy who who did the night reception, although there was a miserable lady who sometimes did the day shift. The owner Katerina was also very helpful and was always on hand to offer advice.
We spent most days lazing around the smaller pool which was always clean and the staff were always coming around and moving empty glasses and plates.
The resort was really good if you are going away for a relaxing holiday, I don't think it would suit groups of young people though. There were plenty of bars and restaurants. We had some good food in the evening at Castaways, the Green Frog and another rooftop restaurant which is just along the road from Castaways. During the day we either ate at 24/7 or Snack Academy.
If I was ever going to go back to Zante I would definitely stay at the Katerina Palace.

Got the holiday blues after returning from Katerina palace. Hotel was spotless towel change every day, staff helpful pool sunbed area a little cramped on the main pool not much room to move your bed around noticed sunbeds with towels on quite early.
Location was excellent, right in the heart of Argassi, but no noise from the resort itself.
Breakfast was pretty basic(continental) though we did have beans & sausage the last day. All in all a most enjoyable stay.
