Maggie and baz were fab, maggie was in charge of the evening entertainment and did a fantastic job, akis and yianni were really friendly and did a great job running the bar and they love children which helped as I had my 2 year old with us, Yianna and Chris who work at reception could'nt do enough for you and problems and they'd try their best to sort them out.
The cavo d'oro is in a fab location supermarket on site the hotel restaurant the roof garden serves up fab food and a lovely welcome, the beach is 5 mins walk away and the main strip is 5 mins walk in the opposite directio.
We are planning on returning in 2 years when my son is a little older. I would recommend this hotel to anyone it's fab!

Private balcony with surpberb sea views. Room cleaned every day except Mondays bedding and towels changed every 2 days.
Only problem with this block is we were on the top floor and it was 54 steps up. Not good when you are carrying heavy cases.
Didnt bother with pool bar as this was dead. The Cava Doro bar was brilliant, the only place to drink on a night with its bingo and quizzes all other bars at this time of year were dead. Skies and Yannis brilliant very friendly.
Beach 2 mins away and hotel in prime location. Would not recommend the pool though very busy and loud and parasols which can not be adjusted or closed, but all in all a excellant holiday location. Had a great time.

Hotel reception very friendly only problem requested adjacent rooms and ended up in two separate blocks with a two bed apartment and a three bed one. As we had three young children was upset reception told us tour operators hadn't told them and the hotel was fully booked so as only there for one week put up with it. One room was a lot better than the other both very basic but clean enough. Maids in every day towels and sheets changed every other day.
Everyone in hotel lovely and brill with children.
Pool clean, location good, resort excellent loads of great restaurants never had a bad meal Mermaids was excellent massive portions.
Weather ok but did have a day of heavy rain.
All in all a great holiday will go back.

The room we were first given was at the front of the hotel and overlooked one of the main streets with lots of bars and shops outside. This first room was very noisy as we could hear the supermarkets opening at 7am! Therefore we asked to be moved as couldn't sleep (when we were at reception asking to be moved there was a couple behind us saying they also wanted to be moved as their room was damp and smelly so beware!). We moved to a lovely 1 bedroom apartment (at a very small cost) at the back of the hotel behind the pool. This room was perfect! Fab views of the mountains and very quiet and peaceful. So I would recommend upgrading to an apartment before going to save disappointment as they all seemed lovely and are in the same block I think (G5) at the back of the hotel.
The rooms were cleaned daily although the pool was a bit iffy. We only spent our first day by the pool and found it to be overcrowded and the pool area and water had a distinct cheesy smell about it. Made me feel quite dirty when I got out of it and could still smell the cheesy whiff on my skin all day until I showered!
The location is fantastic being a 5 min walk from the main Kalamaki Beach and 2 min walk from the main Kalamaki strip with all the bars and restaurants.
All-in-all we had a great time. Don't think we would stay here again though. Just purely for the fact that we saw some lovely other places whilst there that we would try if we were to go back to Kalamaki.

Everyone of the staff were friendly.
The rooms were pretty clean but very basic, we did have a fridge kettle and toaster though which we were not expecting.
Breakfast was good there were cereals, large rolls, butter, marmalade, cheese, ham and fruit juice.
As the world cup was on there wasn't much in the way of entertainment but this wasn't a problem for us at all.
We were about 5mins walk from the beach and would definitely go back again.

The room was tidy enough for what we use it for, with a kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer with 2 cooking hobs. We had a lovely terrace leading into a small garden from the living area and a balcony on the bedroom. The only disappointment was that once you take a shower the bathroom turns into a small lake as there was no shower curtain! The room was cleaned every day but for Monday with the towels and sheets changed every other day!(towels could do with a renewal however, rather shabby).
The hotel staff were all very nice and friendly, except for Harry in the pool side bar he was very unfriendly and moody (not sure if this bar was under the Ca vo D'oro management or it's own).
The Cavo'Doro bar was the place with the entertainment was in the evenings to do with the hotel. Maggie was awesome with the entertainment, really friendly and made everyone feel welcome at the hotel with the bingo quizzes and the karaoke! Alison and Akies (think that how it is spelt)were really good with the children and really friendly. The boy who worked in the bar during the day was really nice and friendly as well (can't remember the name).
The location of the hotel was good, the hotel was situated on beach the strip (as they call it out there) and Kalamaki strip was about a 5 minute walk up to it, also a bonus was it was only about a 10 minute drive in the bus from the airport (even thought so close still can't hear airport noise)
I would not visit this hotel in the next few years would wait about 10 years for the hotel to become more modern and maybe a little day time entertainment would be good.
All in all thought we did have a good holiday, however we feel w only had the room we had as we emailed the hotel before going to say that we were worried as some of the guests that we spoke to were saying how disappointed they were.
