The hotel was very clean and the maid came into the room everyday, the rooms are basic, but they are only to sleep in, even though we went self catering, we eat out every night.
The main bar Akies and Alison provided food throught the day, which was at a high standard, the bar was full every night and they provided a helpful and fast service, with a smile.
The pool was much too small for the amount of people staying in the hotel, and you had to get up at the crack of dawn, to get a sunbed.

Stayed in Cavo d'oro in Kalamaki. The room was very small, just off the reception and bar in the main building. The door to reception banged every time anyone came through. If you get rooms 1 or 2 ask to be changed. The noise goes on into the small hours and the children of the people using the bar run in and out of the building and scream.
The balcony was very small. You had to pay for the Air Con. and the kettle, whilst people in bed and breakfast got theirs free.
The facilities of the complex are good. Plenty of free sun beds. The pool bar is good for breakfasts and snacks. The roof top garden resturant is excellent. The only problem is rooms 1 or 2 and the drunken family who came in at 4 am every morning swearing and shouting.

To say this was a self catering hotel was a laugh, no kettle or toaster was provided these had to be hired! Air Conditioning was available for 30 euros per week! Rooms were very basic and I mean basic. We had to have the light on during the day rooms were that dark! Rooms were clean, but investment needs to be made into new showers and towels, towels had holes in them and stains on - not nice!
Information sheets should be given on arrival with regard to hire of equipment and resort info. There is notices on the reception desk, but when you have just arrived you don't take it all in.
Pool area is kept nice, getting to pool area is not pushchair or disabled friendly as access is by steps only.
Walk ways are dark on way to rooms you are not told about light switches on walls, we were only told on our last night about them, and only half of lights worked!

We stayed in the Cava Dora and after reading the comments on here we were very concerned about 2 weeks there..... however we stayed in G block 5 and the reports were awful on here...but to our amazement it was a very nice clean place....basic but clean. For the price we paid would not have expected anything more..and yes we would go back.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Harry was a star in the bar...thanks for your hospitality... great service..
The Cavadora is a great place for adults not so good if you have young children as the pool has no kids area and the pool is quite deep in the shallow end and very deep in the deep end also difficult to get to as steps up to it.
Not pushchair or wheelchair friendly.

A lovely hotel in a quieter part of Kalamaki but not far away from the livelier parts. We had some lovely meals in the rooftop restaurant and the view was spectacular. We would certainly recommend it.

Really nice apartments and not too noisy or busy, considering the size of the complex. Most of the staff were very friendly, in a rather laid-back, Greek way! The on-site restaurant was very good, where we had dinner a couple of nights. As we were there in early June, there wasn't a great deal going on in the evenings, but the complex bar holds quiz nights, karaoke, etc. Recommended
