What can I say but "fabulous." I was a little apprehensive about going here as there were very few reviews when we booked.
However, the hotel was beautiful and the newly refurbished rooms were stunning. We travelled with our two teenage sons. There was a wall mounted plasma t.v. in the spacious well air conditioned room. The room was kept lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable. These rooms were assigned to First Choice customers so I am not sure on the condition of any of the other rooms.
As it was Christmas they really made everything lovely right down to a Christmas cake delivered to us on Christmas day. The breakfasts were very good and the service was ok. A new restaurant manager started on our 2nd day and he seemed to improve the waiters almost immediately.
We had two Gala dinners here which were very good. The buffet was the best I have ever seen. We often go on Cruises and I can honestly say the buffet here was better than that on the Queen Mary 2. The entertainment was geared towards the Indian guests, as it is a time share hotel. However, everyone was friendly and made us feel quite at home. There was a table tennis table, pool, internet, and game consoles in the Fun Zone so it did keep our lads happy for a while.
The beach was beautiful and we visited most of the shacks. Glorio's was absolute rubbish, the Dune shack which belonged to the hotel was excellent, although more expensive than the beach shacks. We ate around the pool for lunch, sometimes, and the snacks were very good. Most evenings we dined at the Sun and Moon which was just outside the hotel. This was a brilliant restaurant and would recommend it to any one.
There are two large pools, we were always at the new one which was kept immaculate. The towels were always put on our beds by the attendant who was really friendly.
The taxis were expensive, as reported, but we had to use them so we just had to pay up!!
At the end of our stay we received our bill and after checking it found it to be wrong by
