Hotel has a nice location but it is essential that you have a hire car. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa which was ok.
Overall this hotel is ok but could be so much better as attention to detail is lacking.
Food is not great; the breakfast and dinner buffets are really monotonous and lack any inspiration (compared with other hotels we stayed at in North cyprus for last 5 years).
Staff are ok and are adequate but no more.
No sheets were available (and were requested at time of booking) for Sofa bed on first night, first Dvd player (you hire them) didn’t work, and second one had no batteries in remote.

Very good standard for local hotels, clean, quiet, great location, and great value. Staff excellent and they have a great attitude encouraged by their jolly British director who was there when we stayed - a true hotelier. Despite difficult times this hotel maintains good standards even if it has some rough edges - but this is a former conflict zone after all ! (Not many other hotels have a beach cleaning machine in this country). Restaurant serves excellent food and is below prices of local independent restaurants. This is not a self-catering hotel, you need at least to book B&B and hire a car if you want to eat out etc. By North Cyprus standards it is very good - and that beach was 10 metres from our room !!!

The apartment certainly was not 5 star maybe 3 at best, maid service was good, there was no welcome pack upon arrival. There is no oven, grill or even a microwave, just a kettle & toaster, cutlery was very sparse.
The Hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere, the nearest shop is 1km away and you have to walk down the beach and across scrubland to reach it.
There are no nearby restaurants. The food in the Hotel Restaurant was nice but a little overpriced, 5 star prices for 2 star food. One night we opted for the all you can eat barbecue buffet - shame they ran out of food! and towards the weekend they ran out of beer!
The Hotel staff seemed very unprofessional with the exception of the the Restaurant Manager only because he has worked in the 5 star hotel 5 miles up the road.
The menu is the same each week. The second day we were there I had to ask for the apartment to be cleaned and the towels changed.
This resort is perfect for people who want to just lie in the Sun & swim, and if you dont mind paying

We found the hotel to be very nice, however there was no entertainment. There was no way to cook as the only things in the villa were a kettle & a toaster.
The nearest shop was 500 metres along the beach, the only safe way to get there because there are no pavements or busses, the owner of the shop will run you back in his car.
The food was average and over priced for what is was.
The villa was kept very clean and bed linen and towels changed every day.
If you want a very quite holiday this hotel is fine, however if you want to go anywhere you will need to hire a car or use the taxis, whic found to expensive.

We were located in one of the beachside bungalows overlooking the lovely sandy beach. The room could do with a bit of refurbishment but it was cleaned every day and towels were changed when required. The aircon was very good. The only thing that was of no use was the tv as we could not get one single channel on it.
There was a lovely swimming pool on the site and there were always sunbeds available. There were sunbeds on the beach which were also always available. In fact not many used the beach and quite often there was only the two of us on the beach. In August!
It was a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. It was a bit rocky in the sea but it was excellent for snorkelling. Warm crystal clear water. You only had to walk about 40 yards along the beach if you wanted to avoid the rocks completely.
The food in the beachside restaurant was quite good and the prices similar to in the UK. There was only entertainment on two nights per week. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant especially Jak the manager.
Everything you buy from the bars is put on to your room bill and is paid weekly. It is priced in UK stirling which is what they prefer you to pay with, but they will accept any sort of payment.
The only supermarket nearby is a 500 metre walk along the beach but the man in the shop will run you back in his car with your groceries. There is a restaurant above it which is the only one within a reasonable walking distance.
The reception will order you a taxi if needed and there is a standard fare of 30 lira return locally which is anything from 1 mile to about 10 miles each way.
There are several good restaurants in Bogaz which is the nearest village. A popular one is an English run Moon Over The Water. Go there when there's a full moon as we did, and you'll see where it gets it's name from.(You need to book this one). There are several restaurants in the opposite direction, including a Chinese.
To sum up Long beach is ideal if you want a very peaceful quiet holiday but no good if you like a lot of night life.
I would recommend that you hire a car for at least some of the holiday so you can vsit some of the lovely beaches along the pan handle. There is very little public transport and the roads are quiet.
The Jewels of the World reps did not seem to have a lot of local knowledge even though I think they were from Famagusta which was only about 10 miles away. The chap in the supermarket gave us more local info.
The only bad thing we found in Northern Cyprus generally, was the amount of rubbish left on the public beaches. There were bottles, cans, plastic bags, carboard boxes, paper.water bottles etc. We even saw a fridge freezer dumped almost at the end of the pan handle. We suspect it was locals as it was always worse at the weekends.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa on this supposed 5 star resort. The view from the patio was excellent looking on to the sea, only spoilt by the rubbish lying on the beach that was not cleaned up.
The kitchen cupboard doors did not shut properly. The cooking facilities consisted of a microwave and a toaster; the bottom of the bathroom door was rotten and the bottom hinge had come away from the frame. The bottom of the work top support at the side of the fridge was also rotten; the arm rest on the sette was loose; there was no music system in the villa as advertised; there was a tv but it was a waste of time as you could not watch any channels.
