Lovely beach, though prefer a swimming pool which was great until the managers daughter put her towels on the only 2 sunbeds that had the sun.
Not enough sun beds yet they have a policy to say any towels that have been on beds for longer than 30 minutes will be removed. This doesn't happen, when I challenged the manager about the 2 sunbeds in the sun by the pool had towels on them for over 2 hours he replied that they were for his daughter who is having a massage. I would have thought there would be more consideration for paying guests.
Staff were lovely and a special mention to Earth who was a very pleasant chap and went out of his way to be helpful. Kik on reception was a darling and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Sami the barman was a really gentleman and an interesting man to speak to.
We loved the room (209 - Jacuzzi), it got the sun all day as well, the only problem other people might have is that they are building a hotel right next door and there is quite a lot of noise, though we had our music on to drown this out so it didn't bother us. The door broke on our first night, they fixed it but it broke again the next day, they fixed it again and we still couldn't close it so didn't bother, there is a safe in the room for your valuables.
Food and drink is very-very expensive to the point of being ridiculous. This meant that the restaurant and bar were empty most of the time, and I would guess that those people who did eat there were on a half board basis. The small Russian village down the road has a few nice places to eat and drink where it is so much cheaper, you can get your drinks from the supermarket there and take them back to your room, we even saw people drinking their own drinks on the beach at the hotel so anything goes.
There does seem to be quite a bit of maintenance work that needs to done, especially on the stairs, again not an issue for us but could be those who are not good on their legs.
Under different management, some maintenance improvements and this could be 5 star.
