It offers the ultimate playground, but the number of passengers can lead to crowded open deck space. Passengers on the Carnival Spirit tend to be younger and families and mainly American. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 41.9 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.3 passengers. Sailed on the Spirit on an Alaskan cruise from Vancouver to Whittier. The scenery was breathtaking!!! Highlight sailing in the Bay of Alaska and watching and listening to glaciers wow!!!!

The ship is a standard Carnival mega liner. Cabins are very spacious, the decor is naff. This is common to all Carnival ships. The staff work very hard and the Ship is spotless, the food is pretty good especially in the supper club where a $30 fee enables diners to have enormous steaks, lobster etc in ambient surroundings [the external scenery whilst dining was to die for]. I didn't go to any of the shows choosing to spend my time in the casino with varying degrees of luck!

The Ship arrived at Whittier very early on last night so the casino and all bars were closed at midnight and that took a lot of cruisers by surprise. Very smooth disembarkation in the morning and transfer to Anchorage. Embarkation at Vancouver was good to!

Wouldn't hesistate to cruise on this ship again!
