We will never travel with Royal Caribbean again. In my opinion, a number of the security staff which they used on this ship could have been recruited directly from the State Penitentiary!! They were rude and aggressive and as a passenger I felt like a common criminal. I don't think they'd ever heard of the words 'please' or 'thank you'!! Others may be happy to ignore the behaviour but I'm not accepting it.

Royal Caribbean in my view need to take a much closer look at whoever is responsible for the management of security (which I do feel is important for the safety of passengers in these times) and appoint someone capable of managing it but at the same time recognising that they are dealing with PAYING passengers and not common criminals.

The service from every other group of people on this ship was excellent but the experience of leaving or returning to it, is one which I shall not tolerate again.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic
This is our second cruise on board the Majesty of the Seas. We got married on the same ship 12yrs ago and returned this year with our two boys aged 8yrs and 9yrs. We had booked the 5 day Bahamas cruise from Miami. The ship had been refurbished and still matched the memories we held from our first visit.

We were a little worrid initially about taking the children but we needn't have worrid. We had booked a two week villa in Florida and decided to add the cruise on the end of our holiday before flying home.

My concerns about storing our luggage in a small cabin for 4 people were dimished. There was plenty of room in the wardrobe and under the beds. Children slept in pull down beds from out of the wall. They loved it. We were in an inside cabin and decided we didn't need to pay extra for a window as we new we would never be in it much and how right we were.

Both my children who would never normally entertain going in a kids club 'they are for babies' my children would say. But the kids club on the cruise was fantastic I couldn't get them out. They could stay in from 9am - 2am every day. You had to sign them in and sign them out but the older children with their parents permission could sign themselves out. they even gave them supper in the evening (Pizza)but you had to take them out for meals during the day. My eldest son didn't want to leave the club to visit the islands each day because the activities were so good and we almost had to drag hime out.

The passengers ranged from families, couples and elderly and there was a great mix of them all we never felt out of place. Staff were great nothing too much trouble.

The food was excellent, we never ate in the restaurant as the children loved the windjammer buffet. There was so much choice, beautifully displayed and plentyful so we ate in their for all our meals. Johnny Rockets was also great to eat in with kids basically a typical american diner which is the only place you had to pay to eat about $5 and eat as may burger and chips as you wanted.

Entertainment in the Theatre was great with 2 performances each night and a different show each night.

On the 4 day Bahamas cruise we visited Nassau, CoCoCay and Keywest. We didn't book any trips on the ship as they are expnsive and a lot cheaper if you book them when you get off the ship. We did our own thing. The Konk Tour (i think) was a great way to see Keywest and visit parts of the area you would never be able to find. We sat in an open train like carriage that had about 4 carriages attached and cost us $40 in total for all 4 of us and lasted about an hour and a half. It was great and really cooled you off from the scorching heat.

The children have said it was their best holiday ever and they have been on some holidays all over the world.

Loved it so much and so relaxing have booked again for next year. Oh the cruise only cost us 650.00 pounds and that was not a special offer normal brochure price a fanstastic value for money holiday.
