I got 'bitten' by a pulsar, but you do get used to it and realise it's not the best thing to do... The worst I've seen is poor Shermna who toppled over and the exhaust landing on her leg - she's still got the scar near 3 years later! :?

"Goan Tatoo's", thats what they're known as to most people over here and YES they are very painful. Had my first one on a packed ferry to Morjim about 9 years ago.....OUCH!!!

When back-packing in 92, it was known as a Goan birthmark.
Usual recipients were the female passengers on a motorbike

This is by no means a "royal enfield" problem. when in greece some years ago, my ex wife burnt her leg on a suzuki exaust. to my knowledge there was still a scar there 10 years later.
as an experienced biker, and i still have one ( honda vt 500 shadow) i am always carful of the hot exaust pipe.

The girlfriend burned her leg on the exhaust of my Honda C90, with her being pretty drunk didnt notice. She ended up in hospital. Her leg was leaking..
