Hi All. My familiy are staying at the Concorde deluxe Resort in Antalya at the end of September for 2 weeks. We have been to Turkey before be only to Icmeler. I would like to know what the hotel is like, what the weather will be like at that time of year and any excursions you can recommend.
Thanks in advance for your advice Janet
I think the one your going to has a website of it's own Pm me for the link, If it is indeed the Concorde resort and Spa which is 5 star, Situated on Lara Beach in the east of Antalya, This hotel is 16 km away from the city centre and 10 km away from Antalya Airport, Trips can be booked from your hotel, Sun will shine hot hot hot during the day but will be cooler in the evenings.
Thank you so much for the advice. I have seen the website but just wanted to know if anyone had stayed there. Can you suggest what the best trips are in the area

If I was doing the Tours I would use the local ones who will come and collect you from the Hotel and take you back to it when its finished, All the hotel does is book one in the same way for you as opposed to you yourself doing it.
Reviews are good for this Hotel If I was doing the Tours I would use the local ones who will come and collect you from the Hotel and take you back to it when its finished, All the hotel does is book one in the same way for you as opposed to you yourself doing it.
We stayed at the Concorde in Sept 06. We had a wonderful time - my review is on the hotel review page. The food is lovely, plenty of choice, the drinks are excellent and the staff are really nice. No complaints at all.
That is REALLY helpful , thanks Denny, can you advise what trips to go on and how much spending money will we need
Side is also worth a trip, it's about an hour away. Full of roman ruins, two beaches, lovely old town and harbour.
There are also trips to Durden waterfalls. Outside the hotels there is not a lot to do. A few shopping bazaars and a large shopping mall full of designer gear. ( the real deal). Expensive, but worth a trip to window shop.
Theres plenty to do in the hotel. Bowling alley (free), the entertainment is not bad. The beach party is wonderful. 24 hr bars etc.You will have a wonderful time.
thanks Denny, really looking forward to the holiday
Hi Janet. If you want to go on trips, first ask the taxi guys outside the Hotel ( they have a board with the prices on ) I think that if there are a few of you then you may find them cheaper and you are in charge of your own destiny.Hotel tours are really expensive and the Taxi guys often tell me that they don't understand why people pay the prices from the Rep or Hotel. The Concorde is a superb hotel and as somebody else said the weather will be good. Enjoy your time in Antalya.
We are staying at the Limak Lara and I assume the day trip advice would be the same as I think the Concorde is next door - is that correct?
Hi Becky. You are correct. The Limark and the Concorde along with another dozen or so Hotels are on one strip.
Is there a waterpark close by?
We normally like to fit in a boat trip - are there any available? Normally round the local islands and bays.
Thanks in Advance

I would also be interested in Boat Trips. We have done the 'all inclusive' type from Icmeler
Hi Becky & Janet. You take Boat trips from the Harbour in Kaleici which is in the centre of Antalya and a DolmuÅŸ will drop you in the centre.Don't take a boat that is going to the waterfall as you will be heading back in the direction of your hotel and it's not an interesting sail.As for Waterparks there is a Big one at the Dedeman Hotel. You pay but I don't know how much. It's about 7k from your Hotel and the same DolmuÅŸ that will take you into town will drop you off there.Yes,the same is applicable whichever Hotel you are staying in along the strip.
There is the Troy waterpark in Belek, about half hours drive away . Also has dolphin show, it's really good.
Denny
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
As for Water parks another water park located on the Konyaalti beach side of the city across ( east ) from the BIG Migros shopping center called Aqua Park...I found it much better than the Dedeman...mind you it has been years since I visited them both...Also next door to the Aqua Park is Dolphinland...a marina show...down the street is also Mini-city and the extensive Beach Park area with a small amusement park inside this area..a larger amusement park is once again located across from the Migros shopping center on the north face of the mall..
also I must say that you also posted your question the the Trip Advisor and I too replied there...very extensively..also look for the post...Excursions and day trips.
