Myself and hubby travelled to Majorca when our twins were 7 months old and our eldest was 4 and we managed just fine without any help/support. We returned to our favourite resort of Cala Bona/Millor which is about 50 minutes from airport and they were all fine. Resort is safe, family friendly and FLAT so pushing a buggy around is a pleasure (the promenade from Cala Bona to Cala Millor is lovely). Have always felt 100% safe there and the kids have loved it so much we've been back several times since and are returning again this year.

Apartment wise, we go DIY as with having the 3 children we get hammered for under-occupancy with TO's so we book direct with owners in resort but the likes of Thomson do the Bonaire Apartments in Cala Bona which always seem to get good reviews and being family friendly are more geared up for kids.

Thanks tisonlymoi

Great advice, I will get cracking. What hotel do you normally stay at? Thanks again

No problem at all. Can give you virtually an entire run down on both resorts - this year will be our 7th visit to the resort(s) in 11 years :)

We normally go into apartments owned by locals and book direct (this year we've booked thru' friends we have out there and will be going into an apartment on the sea front in Cala Bona. Our last stay in 2008 we stayed at the Hotel Moreyo in Cala Bona which was basic and dated but immaculately clean and staff very friendly. We went on B&B basis and hired a mini-fridge from Lower Hire so we could keep sandwich making bits and drinks cool and we ate out every night (LOADS of places to eat out that cater to all tastes).

Can give you contact information for apartments we have stayed in previously, only reason we opted for these new ones this year is that the owners are friends of friends, the apartment location is excellent and the fact that it has a washing machine is an added bonus.

We've stayed at Med 2 apartments on sea front in Cala Millor, Sema apartments on back road in Cala Bona and also Jimmy's apartments opposite Hotel Don Jaime in Cala Millor as well as the Hotel Moreyo in Cala Bona.....no complaints at all with any of them. :)

hi sorry to butt in, i see you went on hol with your twins.... how was that?? my twins turned 1 last week and i have an 8 year old too, heading to cristina apartments in cala millor in 5 weeks. absolutely terrified on how i will cope, we are taking my mother, father and brother in law too! I cant even sit beside my man as they wont allow the twins to be on the same row. Any tips??? lol

dunc - sorry to gatecrash... we are off to cala millor, cristina apartments, which are SC with the family soon. The only advice i can tell you (as ive never been here before) regarding booking is to get it booked as early as pssible, we were late in booking and didnt get any free child places for any of my 3.

Hya....finally back to answer your question :)

Christina Apartments are nice and short pleasant walk into Cala Millor.

Travelling with twins aged 7 months was actually okay.....they didn't move around so much so were either in their cots, baby nests (Galt) or buggies but more mobile babies might not be quite so easy to contain/control I guess. We weren't aware of the oxygen mask situation until we got to the airport so being separated was a big issue albeit we were only in the next row to each other. I had to rely heavily on the lovely lady sat next to me when I needed to go to the loo, but if you're going with family that probably won't be a problem for you. Just make sure you both have bags that contain your little ones' drinks, toys, snacks etc. We let ours drink on take-off and landing for their ears - used Steri-bottles and cartoned milk and just ditched the bottles when we were done so as not to have to carry them around with us.

I'd recommend taking 2 single buggies as opposed to a double (on our first visit our cheap double was swapped for 2 singles whilst away and sold to a hire company). Just makes it easy for lifts, shops & restaurants. If you're eating out we struggled to find restaurants that offered TWO highchairs - CHEERS in Cala Millor had 2 so we ate there a lot (no hardship as it's a great family place offering FAB food and your 8 year old will love the Wii & PS3 - ours talk about it all year round)!

There's probably loads more to mention...if there's anything specific you want to ask pm me and I'll send you my direct email so I can respond direct...will also have a hunt out for a post I wrote upon return from our first ever twin holiday.

You'll love Cala Millor and have a FAB holiday I'm sure! :cheers
