Has anyone been on the 2 day safari. I am considering this for my family - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I thought I might book before I go to Tunisia, as it only seems to go on a Thursday and our week is Wednesday to Wednesday. The quoted cost is £72.00 per person.
Thanks for your help
Lynn
Hi Lynn, It can be tiring as there are early starts and quite a lot of travelling but it is certainly worth doing. You can book with your rep in the resort, as you can other trips, but I booked independently last October with Saphir Voyages out there - 00 216 72 40168. If you do this, make sure you ask for an English speaking tour. The cost was about £65 and included an overnight stay and all meals. You will be picked up from your hotel early on the first day. We visited El Djem, Matmata, and various other places, saw dates being harvested, watched the sunrise over the salt lakes, rode camels and had a 'jeep' trip. The guide was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. Make sure you have your camera. I had visited El Djem and Matmata previously by car with Tunisian friends, but wanted to try an organised tour, though I normally try to avoid these and travel independently.
