Dare I say that if you were going for a long weekend, I would suggest Prague! Beautiful city, lots to do and enough at night to keep you busy. If not there, then Benalmadena, but then I'm biased

I am not a city person but I really enjoyed Barcelona. It is an easy city to get around and the airport bus was great to get to the city. Many nice places to eat and lots of things to see

Hi

I would also concur with Benalmadena, I am older but still into having a drink and fun. I went on my own and though shy on my own I ventured by going into a small english bar and got chatting with the owners and then ended up by meeting people in there. I will almost certainly go back.

Hope this helps

Hi again

I should have said I have also been to Barcelona. I have been twice with different female friends in the past two years. I enjoyed both times and the architecture is great but for a really fun weekend I think Benalmadena would have the edge. (unless you are going to see architecture)

Depending on your budget, I can recommend Peurto Banus, Marbella. Its got great beaches, fantastic nightlife and is very safe. Relatively expensive though but worth the extra if you can afford it.

Hi Emma

I went to Benidorm in December with friends and we luaghed from the minute we got in the taxi to the airport to the minute we got off the plane back home.
The weather was terrific and the nightlife was great.

I then went to Barcelona at the end of Feb and certainly can recommend it. It was terrific. Las Ramblas, sightseeing, Shopping you name it we did it.

Would certainly do Barcelona again - went with Globespan and stayed in the Douque Del Begara Hotel at the top of Las Ramblas. Couldn't have picked a perfect place for location. When we got off the bus from the airport the hotel was across the street.

The world is your oyster.

Enjoy whatever you choose you will have a ball.

Cheers

Carol
