I'll start! We were fortunate enough to make two trips to the area this year
May - Castell Montgri, Estartit:
Ye know, i still love the site, it is one of the best campsites around, but i'm not convinced they are doing enough to attract people back. They seem to be later each year in getting facilities open, the season is getting shorter, and the whole place seems to be getting more expensive. However, if i go early season, it's still a nice place to be when it's relatively quiet, and i can get back home before the site turns into the UK's chav 'home from home' ... heard some pretty bad stories about what it's like high season
Verdict - Good site, but maybe not making enough effort ... plus the town of Estartit is becoming very very run down!

September - La Siesta, Calella DP:
First time on this site, and i really enjoyed it. A smaller and more intimate site, much more of an international feel and less of a 'Brit in the sun' place, but good onsite facilities, swimming pool, etc. Maybe a bit too quiet if the sun isn't shining, but there are plenty of nice places to explore outside the site, and the coastal scenery is stunning
Verdict - Smaller and more friendly than Castell Montgri, and somewhere i will definitely return to

Travel:
Went both times with Interbrava, and can't find fault with them. Both times were superdeals at an amazing price, buses were spotless, and ran like clockwork - always making first ferry, swift pick up points, no hub system, etc. A word for the reps too who were excellent on both sites ... it's nice that despite 5 months between holidays, when we picked up at Castell Montgri on the way home, the reps remembered us from May and popped over for a chat .. quite impressive considering how many people they see each year!! A cut above the rest as far as im concerned
